Four has led the national communications strategy for the world’s longest-running literature festival for a number of years, promoting the event and supporting strong ticket sales.

In 2025, the Festival concluded a landmark edition, marking a record-breaking year for ticket sales with over 100,000 ticket holders and reaffirming the enduring power of literature festivals.

We achieved 473 pieces of coverage, from the programme announcement in August through to the end of the Festival in October.

Highlights included interviews with Tulisa Contostavlos on Capital XTRA, Alan Davies in Daily Express, Larry Lamb in The Times, Michael Morpurgo in The New Statesman and Kaliane Bradley in Country & Town House. Festival previews featured in major outlets such as BBC News, The Independent, Good Housekeeping, Stylist, and Euronews. Op-eds in The Week and The Bookseller amplified key Festival themes like the future of reading.
