Glastonbury is a major event for BBC Music and for music lovers everywhere. For the 2017 festival, BBC Creative asked Four to implement their digital vision to help drive a greater audience to the iPlayer –either to watch live or on demand.
The idea was to create an online tool where fans could put together a personalized line-up of acts that they wanted to see and turn that line-up into a custom poster to download or share on their social media.
Alongside the poster, the process finished with a schedule of their chosen lineup performances, when and where to watch them, complete with calendar reminders ensuring they would not miss out whether they were at the event or watching at home
The online microsite received 45,000 visits in the run up to and during the festival, with 8,000 people adding the reminders to their calendars.
