Four worked with the Hadrian’s Wall Partnership, an umbrella organisation spanning across over 8 different organisations, to celebrate Hadrian’s Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
We were tasked to create a single, discoverable online source for people searching ‘Hadrian’s Wall’, that makes it clear to tourists how to ‘visit the wall’, reflecting on the various organisations who look after it, the multiple venues that make up the wall, the 3 different counties it covers and forwarding on to them.
Our new site gives a shared home to people searching for the Wall, giving relevant information and directing onward journeys. It stimulates tourist interest in the wall, filled with fun facts, itineraries and information aimed at a cross-section of audiences.
Working across different organisations with different practices and interests, we were able to replace a clunky site with one that was built around the needs of all organisations involved.
Built using our 'heritage engine' framework, which sped up delivery time, providing value for money to focus on the digital storytelling.
