The pursuit of an all-night illegal warehouse party at the height of the rave scene in Coventry, 1989, was turned into an interactive virtual reality film by award-winning VR immersive artist Darren Emerson for Coventry UK City of Culture in 2022.

The team has recently promoted a new multiplayer version with an extended run at the Barbican Centre, London in summer 2025 ahead of a national tour to Leeds Testbed, Warwick Arts Centre and Wales Millennium Dome, Cardiff in autumn 2025

IPORB has set the bar for mainstream media and critical engagement with this type of ambitious artistic commission, gaining breakthrough coverage in outlets such as BBC London, DJ Mag, HERO, HUCK, Red Bulletin, Sight & Sound and Wallpaper* among others to try out the new iteration of the immersive experience

There was extensive coverage on broadcast, print and online with previews and comment pieces running on Absolute Radio, NME, Edge, Esquire, New Scientist, Refinery29, Time Out and The Wire amongst others

The Barbican tour had a total of 12,000 tickets with 93% sold during its run. The national tour continued to Leeds, Warwick and Cardiff
