Account director role

Four is trusted to build and manage the corporate reputations of major UK and international brands. Our clients include Network Rail, Baillie Gifford, The Portman Estate, Argent / King’s Cross, Fleet Street Quarter and Middle East giga-projects. 

As a result of these new wins, retentions and a very strong pipeline, we are looking for an experienced, results-driven and tenacious account director to join our communications unit. 

Candidates should have at least five years’ experience, with experience across corporate, financial services, property and/or retail clients.

Agency experience will be a benefit but we are also interested in in-house expertise.

 

As a public relations professional, you will have built up a strong portfolio of client campaign results. We are keen to hear how you’ve led great campaigns and helped bring ideas to life across multiple platforms, including media relations, social media and partnership activity. You’ll be adept at building and managing relationships with clients, media, and partners, keeping activity and reporting on track, directing junior team, horizon scanning for new opportunities and staying calm under pressure.

A little more about what we’re looking for: 

  • Experienced in leading campaigns across our key sectors, with an understanding of how to target corporate stakeholder audiences
  • Proficient in project, campaign and event management 
  • Understanding of corporate reputation, crisis and issues management, and stakeholder management
  • Commercially astute and involved in developing and delivering new business opportunities 

Proficiency in Arabic or Mandarin would be a plus but is not a requirement.

Our flexible working policy is one of the most forward-looking in the industry, designed to balance what is best for both staff and our clients. Across all offices and locations we give staff the ability to decide where they work for much of their week. 

To ensure we retain the best levels of teamwork and on-the-job learning we ask staff to be ‘on-site’ either in our office, with a client or at an event for at least two days a week. One of those days is spent as a team day in the office for meetings, brainstorms, planning and catch-ups.

For the rest of the week staff can work from any location unless they have other face-to-face commitments such as client meetings and events, team meetings or training.
